As we close March and begin April 2025, we find ourselves at a crucial moment for transgender rights and visibility. While International Transgender Day of Visibility serves as a powerful reminder of trans joy, resilience, and accomplishments, it also highlights the ongoing challenges faced by our transgender community members.
A particularly pressing concern comes on April 1st, as California faces critical hearings regarding proposed legislation targeting trans youth. These bills represent just one example of the continuous challenges our transgender community faces, even in states traditionally considered more progressive.
At Gather & Grow, we believe that visibility must be paired with concrete action and support. Our commitment goes beyond mere acknowledgment - we actively provide affirming care to all members of our LGBTQIA+ community and advocate against policies that could harm our transgender community members.
