I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Gather and Grow OC.
I received my B.A. in Psychology at the University of California Irvine and Masters in Counseling at Cal State Fullerton. I completed my Traineeship hours at Western Youth Services providing therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and families. As an associate I have continued to gather experience working with underserved communities at Pathways Community Services and Child Guidance Center to provide access to much needed mental health services to those most at risk.
Since I began my training, I have worked with many folks in the community to forge a path toward healing trauma. I am EMDR trained (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and on the road to certification. I believe you are the expert on yourself and your experience and my role is to be a facilitator of your personal growth. I approach my practice with a focus on the importance of healthy relationships, self-care, and truly believe in the mind and body connection.
I’m excited to be part of the Gather and Grow OC Community to help establish a thriving place for for like-minded people to share in the process of healing, self-development, and empowerment. So often we become isolated and disengaged from what makes us truly connected to one another, Gather and Grow is a place we can come together to experience a sense of community and support. I am honored to say that I can work with a group of individuals dedicated to sending a positive message about mental health and caring for oneself.
I’m a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Gather and Grow OC. I have spent the last four years developing as a therapist to support others’ in their journey of healing. I was drawn to therapy by my sense of curiosity and interest in understanding relationships and what brings people together.
My training began at Cal State Fullerton where there is an emphasis on using a person-centered approach and belief in an individual's resiliency and ability to learn and grow from their experience. Since completing my studies, I have been working with underserved communities and providing therapy in both English and Spanish to help bring families together to repair relationships and reduce the stigma of mental health treatment in the Latinx community.
In this next chapter of my practice, I am excited to offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support the community in healing trauma. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness in my practice as well as in my own life. It is of utmost importance to me to have balance and practice what I preach, which is why I believe self-care is incredibly important. I look forward to supporting you in finding what self-care and self-love mean for you!
